Elsinore First is part of the SoCal Network of the General Council of the Assemblies of God. The Assembly of God fellowship was formed in 1914 after the Holy Spirit Revivals began to spread, and a need for doctrinal structure and organization arose. In 1916 this fellowship established a set of doctrinal standards solely based on Scripture that are intended to be the basis for every congregation to worship in unity. In doctrine and practice, we are Pentecostal and Evangelical.

Below our Core Beliefs and Purpose Statement is a condensed version of the 16 Fundamental Truths that define our doctrine as Spirit-filled Disciples of Christ. For more in depth information please read the official Assemblies of God position papers.

BELIEFS

  • 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

 PURPOSE

  • We will be a church with genuine expression of heartfelt reverence and adoration towards God.

  • We will be a church with an intentional and genuine tool to bring people together to serve each other in spiritual unity.

  • We will be a church who develops followers of Christ for ministry through the Word of God.

  • We will be a church with a heart to impact those around us.

  • We will be a church who shares the Good News that Jesus Christ conquered sin, how He is the driving force of our existence.
