· The Power Gifts: Faith, Healing, Miracles,
· The Inspiration Gifts: Prophecy, Tongues & Interpretation of Tongues
“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed… Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom…”

In the New Covenant we are ... blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places

Why should we all DESIRE Wisdom? Why should we all walk in this gift?
First of all Proverbs tells us,
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

In the NLT version,
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.

Getting Wisdom is the WISEST THING YOU CAN DO!
But WHY?
If the ax is dull, and if one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
— Ecclesiastes 10:10 NKJV
Wisdom gives you a successful advantage

WHAT IS WISDOM? 🤔
It applies to you and your life and brings about many benefits, but your gifts are also to benefit others.
Gift of Wisdom
Wisdom: The supernatural inspiration for speaking the right word at the right time.
The “word of wisdom” is literally the “utterance of divine wisdom.”
A wise word of guidance for a person in a difficult situation.
Wisdom is different than Knowledge – knowledge is knowing facts.
Wisdom is knowing the what to do, when to do it and the how to do it
In other words WISDOM is God’s Strategies. He wants to give you His divine strategies to be effective in the world.
YOU CAN BE ON THE BOARD FOR A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY AND GOD CAN GIVE YOU A WORD OF WISDOM:
for the company and the direction it should take
regarding a business deal
at a school board meeting
In the political arena God can give you a word a wisdom for your city or state,
He did that with Joseph

The purpose of your gifts are not to glorify You but to glorify God
The Purpose of your gifts are not even to draw people to you but to draw them to God.
Two years later after being thrown in prison...
JOSEPH – gave a prophetic word and then he gave a word of wisdom.
They were speechless…
Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. So Pharaoh asked his officials, “Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?”

See when you’re filled with the Spirit you will operate in Spiritual Gifts and they will point you to Jesus.

“As for these four youths, God gave them learning and skill in all literature and wisdom…”
— Daniel 1:17 ESV
God is no respector of persons, I want to challenge you to pray:
Father, I pray for all learning, skill and wisdom regarding my calling just like you gave them! You’re no respecter of persons, and I know you want me to have it, so by faith I receive it in Jesus Name! AMEN!
And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom.

THE NEW LIVING TRANSLATION SAYS,
… he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.

God wants to shine through you! There should be a marked difference from believers and unbelievers in the earth.
There really is no comparison.
Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: “How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered.

You can see the heart of the Father ❤️
God is so willing to talk with you, He’s so willing to share His wisdom with you!
HOW DO WE GET THIS WISDOM?
1) ASK FOR IT!
James says,
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all…
— James 1:5 ESV
SOLOMON – had wisdom; asked for wisdom:
That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” … “Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around. And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!
— 1 Kings 3:5-8
· We see Humility here…
2) Ask for it in a spirit of Humility
Humility is a Key, remember we have been given Keys to the Kingdom, there are different keys that unlock different doors that gives you access.
Humility unlocks Wisdom in your life!
Remember Jesus said in Matthew 18 “therefore whoever humbles himself as a little child is the greatest in the kingdom of God.”
James 4 God gives GRACE to the Humble
Soloman says,
Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?” The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom.

So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies— I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life! I will give you a long life.”

The secret to answered prayer is pray for the things He wants you to have!
Read the story of Solomon and the Two Women [1 Kings 3:16-28]
When all Israel heard the king’s decision, the people were in awe of the king, for they saw the wisdom God had given him for rendering justice.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore

Soloman wrote over 3000 proverbs, and 1005 Songs. God wants us to have this same kind of wisdom, this was not just for King Solomon, God want’s us to desperately have the gift of wisdom operating in our lives.
HOW DO WE GET THIS WISDOM?
3) We seek Him for it
My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.

Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
